Leading wih your Spirit, not your Intellect

Humans are spirit beings. We had a beginning, unlike God, but like Him, we shall live forever. Where? That's a future discussion--we'll have it one day. But for now, getting actively connected to Heaven is going to mean a reorientation. Our received western culture teaches us to lead with our intellect, with spirit being optional or non-existent. God's design, rather, is for our spirit to lead out and our intellect to come along as a "handmaiden" to facilitate the deployment of spirit-led policy, information, and choices. This lifestyle absolutely demmands that you function in some of the giftings mentioned in I Corinthians 12 and following chapters of the Bible--but, no problem, that stuff is available for free! And, just to give you a touch of Church History, St. Anselm said in the 11th century, "Credo ut intellegere." That's 'I believe in order to understand.'

Excerpt from Prologue of "The Edge of Heaven"

The book wants to lure you into a pathway in life that wanders the Edge of Heaven. Its methodology has little to do with linear thinking or convincing by logical proof--although it includes occasional teaching. Mainly, I invite the reader to journey with me through various significant events of my own life. These events are significant to me because they were formative in my development as a person. But how could I dare assert their importance for you? Your life and mine could be totally unrelated!
Perhaps. However, the events in question are all examples of personal interaction with Heaven, and I didn't have to go through a near-death experience to have these Encounters. Possibly, that very curious statement alone might be enough to catch your interest and give weight to the assertion that these events might be significant to--or have parallels in--your own life. I invite you to consider the possibility of an active Heaven. I hope for transformative breakouts of Heaven in the lives of all who read!
